Woffinden and Kennet join Wild Card Nicholls at Cardiff

Team Great Britain internationals Tai Woffinden and Edward Kennett join wild card Scott Nicholls at the FIM Doodson British Speedway Grand Prix in Cardiff on June 25 as track reserves.

Nicholls clinched the prestigious No.16 race jacket for the second year running by winning a record equalling sixth British Championship at Wolverhampton on Monday.

Woffinden, 20, finished third in the meeting, despite racking up a 15-point maximum in his heats. The former Grand Prix star?s performance was nothing short of incredible given that he was still recovering from the broken shoulder he sustained in a BMX crash last month.

Meanwhile, Kennett finished fourth. He was excluded from the final, after bringing Woffinden down when he attempted to dive under the Wolves rider in the first re-run of the race.

Unlike Nicholls and Woffinden, Kennett has never been a full-time SGP rider, although he served as the wild card at the Millennium Stadium in 2008 and 2009, scoring four points on each occasion.

The referee for the SGP series? flagship event is Wojciech Grodzki from Poland.
