Frossard and Roczen owned the Swedish GP

Steven Frossard and Ken Roczen ruled the Swedish GP in front of the numerous warm crowd of Uddevalla, while Evgeny Bobryshev and Antonio Cairoli were second and third in the MX1 class and Jeffrey Herlings and Gautier Paulin completed the MX2 podium.

Steven Frossard dominated comfortably both races in Sweden and repeated his 2010 overall victory in Uddevalla. Evgeny Bobryshev did an incredible race 2 and succeeded in being on the second step of the podium, while Antonio Cairoli completed the top three with a 5-2 result.

In MX2 Ken Roczen won easily both heats and his teammate Jeffrey Herlings was on the second step of the rostrum. Third overall was Gautier Pauline thanks to his 2-3 result.

MX1
Monster Energy Yamaha?s Frossard obtained the second overall victory of the season after finishing first in both heats of the Swedish GP. Frossard was hit by Cairoli?s wheel when the Italian crashed in the first corner of the first race, but he managed to keep the second position. The French decided to ride safe behind Bobryshev, but he finally made a move over the Russian with just three laps to go and went out with the victory.

Honda World Motocross? Bobryshev experienced one of the best weekends of his career being on the second step of the podium thanks to his 2-4 result. The Russian was 17th in the opening lap of race two, but he did an incredible race to finish fourth, behind Philippaerts, Cairoli and Frossard. Bobryshev is very confident with his riding and he is looking forward to the next GP, as they are among his favourite ones.

Red Bull Teka KTM Factory Racing MX1?s Cairoli finished third overall in Uddevalla and became the new leader of the MX1 Championship. Cairoli had a tough first race, as made a mistake when braking in the first corner and he had to start from the very last position. The Italian needed some time to check that he was able to go back on his KTM and he then gave it all and succeeded in moving from last to fifth. In the second race Cairoli obtained a solid second position.

LS Honda Racing?s De Dycker was very satisfied with the fourth overall position, because he finally obtained a good result after a long streak of bad luck. De Dycker finished fourth in the first race and he missed the podium because he finished sixth in the second heat. The Belgian rider is now looking forward to Teutschenthal, where he won the GP last year.

Ramon from Rockstar Energy Suzuki World MX1 team completed the top five and moved up one position in the point standings and he is now ninth, 11 points behind eighth classified Boog. Ramon did not have a very good start in the first race and had to push really hard to end in a final sixth position, while he rode fifth almost all the second race.

Boog finished third in the first heat and proved to himself that he can fight for the first positions of the race, but in the second one he did not have a good start and he then struggled to find a good rhythm and crossed the finish line 11th. Boog was sixth overall, but he improved one position in the Championship and he is now eighth 26 points behind Gonalves.

Desalle finished seventh overall and he was a bit disappointed because he thought he could have done better. The Belgian rider was not lucky again today, as he injured his knee after a crash during the warm-up. Desalle is now second in the point standings, 10 points behind Cairoli.

Philippaerts finished third in the second race, but he could only be 15th in the first one as he made a mistake and his bike stalled. Philippaerts finished eighth overall, followed by Gonalves and Nagl, who both made several mistakes today and could not fight for the top positions of the GP.

Kim Lindstrm was the best Swedish rider in the MX1 class with an overall 23rd position.

MX2
Red Bull Teka KTM Factory Racing MX2?s Roczen dominated both heats from beginning to end and he showed once more that he is the rider to beat. It?s the fourth overall victory for the German and he is now leading the MX2 Championship with 14 points advantage over runner up Herlings.

Red Bull Teka KTM Factory Racing MX2?s Herlings managed to finish on the second step of the podium this weekend thanks to his 3-2 result and admitted that he needs to keep on training very hard in order to beat his teammate Roczen, who at the moment is much more superior than him. Herlings has been working on his starts, as he needs to be in front of his teammate after the start if he wants to fight for the lead.

Monster Energy Yamaha?s Paulin finished third overall in Uddevalla, being tight in points with Herlings. After being second in the first race, Gautier had some problems with his rear shift at the beginning of the second heat, which made him lose some valuable seconds. The French is still fourth in the point standings, but he is just 10 points behind Searle.

CLS Monster Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit?s Anstie arrived in Uddevalla with still some pain on his back, but he succeeded in being fourth overall thanks to his 4-5 result. Anstie is very satisfied with his performance, but he is still looking forward to his maiden podium in the FIM Motocross World Championship.

Monster Energy Yamaha?s Charlier did two excellent races after starting from the 15th position in both heats. The French rider was not very lucky in the previous GP, but it seems like he has recovered his confidence, as he obtained two solid seven positions in today?s races.

Tonus made several mistakes in both heats, but he was able to finish sixth overall, ahead of Van Horebeek, who had a very good weekend at his comeback from his shoulder injury.

Aubin finished ninth in the first race, but he managed to start at the front in the second one and crossed the finish line in sixth position, which gave him an overall eighth place.

Osborne was just ninth this weekend and he was followed by Teillet, who did two consistent races at his first appearance after his shoulder injury.

Searle was fourth in the second heat, but he had to pull out of the first race, because he crashed twice and at the second time he could not start the bike again.
